What can a Park City enthusiast expect of their favorite town this year as we have reached fall and winter is approaching faster than ever? Well a clue to that answer can be found within SKI Magazine’s prestigious ratings of the top 50 resorts in the west, for this year, Park City gained considerable recognition. The top of the line accommodations and comforts provided throughout Park City has landed all three of this area’s top resorts within the top ten. With no surprises, Deer Valley Resort proudly sits as the number two rated resorts, Park City Mountain Resort sits at five, and Canyons Resort is breaking the top ten for this first time in the tenth spot. With phenomenal recognition like this, I am sure the Park City Ski Resorts will enjoy another bustling and exciting winter.

As a strong presence on this list for many years now, Deer Valley Resort is no stranger to this type of praise, coming in first just two years ago. For the management here, it is not necessarily about their overall rating, as much as it is about ratings in certain sub-categories. For example, they have been rated first in the categories of grooming, on-mountain food and guest service every single year since these ratings began. Park City’s pride lies in the ratings of their guest’s outdoor experiences. This year, they received the first ranking in the categories of access, off-hill activities and terrain parks. This being the first year which Canyons Resort have broken the top ten, is a special year for them, and marks many great leaps in the quality of what they offer on many levels.
These ratings are a result of the culmination of tens of thousands of reviews from guest’s experiences in resorts throughout the country. Since they are developed directly from the feedback of guest’s they are very telling of the experience provided by these resorts. While these resorts’ individual success is quite impressive, the truly impressive fact is how all three of these resorts in the same area all received recognition of the top ten.
