8th Annual Community Tree Lighting
Like many other communities Park City has its very own holiday tree lighting to kick off the season with. You will find the 8th Annual Community Tree Lighting taking place this year with a whole schedule of activities ready for you to enjoy. The event takes place on November 29th starting at 3:00 PM where you can shop the Pendry Plaza and Canyons Village to knock out some holiday shopping. Live holiday music will start at 4:00 PM. Pick up a souvenir Park City Mountain ornament during this time as well while supplies last. Santa Claus will be on for photos with the kids from 4:30 PM to 5:45 PM. The official tree lighting ceremony will start at 6:00 PM where the huge Canyons Village Holiday Tree is lit up with thousands of Christmas lights. Immediately following the tree lighting you will be able to enjoy a fireworks display that is sure to light up the night sky. The Annual Community Tree Lighting has always been a popular event so make sure to get there early if possible to snag a great viewing spot. The event will once again take place over at Canyons Village on November 29th.
Snow Globe Stroll
Park City knows how to decorate for the holiday season with larger than life ornaments and decorations found all across Downtown Park City. Each year, Park City puts on the Snow Globe Stroll along Historic Main Street where you can find seven different life size globes that are each themed around a different holiday song. You will find globes featuring your favorite songs such as “Let It Snow!”, “Rudolph the Rd Nosed Reindeer”, and many more. There will also be plenty of holiday decorations to take in during your stroll such as Santa’s mailbox and also the Park City holiday tree. The Snow Globe Stroll is always set up just in time for Thanksgiving and will remain up until New Years.
Park City Holiday Spectacular and Sing A Long!
If you are feeling in the festive spirit this holiday season you will need to head on down to the Egyptian Theatre in Downtown Park City for the annual Park City Spectacular and Sing A Long! special. This annual event is one of Park City’s most looked forward to event each holiday season. A showcase of local talent will be on hand to enjoy choir led sing-along specials. Santa Claus himself will also be on hand for the event making it a festive event for all. There are often multiple performances for the Park City Spectacular and Sing A Long special with dates yet to be announced for the 2024 season. Tickets start at $12 for children and $15 for adults with premium seating also available. Tickets purchased at the door 30 minutes or less before a show begins will be $5 more so make sure to book early to save on your entry. Santa Comes Down Town Lift
Each year millions of children get excited for another visit from Santa Claus to hopefully receive gifts on their wish list. Taking the kids to visit Santa is always a popular activity every holiday season so they can meet him in person and get a great photo opportunity. Park City offers a unique holiday event with Santa Comes Down Town Lift taking place once again this year. Santa will ride down the ski lift arriving into Town Lift Plaza over at Park City Mountain Resort. The event takes place on December 21st starting at 5:00 PM making his arrival perfect just before Christmas hits in a few days.
